Apart from fish cakes, how would you feed the 5000 from a piece of white fish?

Ok, so I exaggerate.... have defrosted 2 cod fillets for DH and me tonight. Now have an extra mouth to feed and no more fish available so need to make it stretch. Fish cakes was immediate thought - any other ideas please?

Fish pie?

A tray of assorted vegetables tossed in oil, roasted in the oven then the fish on top for the last 10 minutes.

Fish fajitas.

Fish pie? Some kinda fishy pasta?

PotteringAlong · 25/08/2017 17:08

I'd do something else and cook the fish tomorrow

CarrieErbag · 25/08/2017 17:09

In my book that's an excuse for a takeaway.

Kedgeree?

Fish tacos

Fish soup with tomato and perhaps a little rice or diced potatoes in it, lots of bread to mop up.

Have found some bacon bits in the freezer and have potatoes & rice so will make a cross between a kedgeree and soup/chowder. Thank you all x

I'd have gone for skewers, cut fish into chunks, marinate and thread on skewers interspersed with courgettes/peppers etc.

Love the skewer idea but don't have access to the ingredients- will try them another time
