Chilli jam?

I've got Jamie's latest and it calls for chilli jam and my tesco online, ocado and Sainsbury's are all drawing a blank- anyone know anywhere that stocks it or should I just make some?

You should be able to get at a farm shop or Dobbies (other garden centres are available) but I make my own using a Nigeria recipe. Makes the house stink but tastes great and a real sense of achievement getting it done.

Just use sweet chilli sauce? What's the recipe -savoury or sweet?

I do also make the Nigella recipe tho. It's lovely, and easy - but very very sweet.

I was about to mention the Nigella recipe ... and see I'm not alone!

It does make your house smell like a Chinese takeaway though, but it is a good recipe. Great with strong cheese too.

Think I'll have a go at the nigella recipe - slightly ironic when the whole point of the book is "quick and easy" but hey ho!

Nigella's chilli jam is amazing. Wear gloves while you're chopping the chillis though...

Make your own. I use jam sugar and red chillis, it's really easy.

I don't chop the chillis, I whizz them in the ninja with some vinegar and pour straight into the pan. I use cider vinegar and jam sugar and make it slightly less thick than jam, pour back into the cider vinegar bottles and use it as a drizzle sauce. Nigella's recipe.

It is awesome, been making it for years now. I might have some for supper with some strong cheddar, now you mention it.
