I have a pack of chicken breasts two days past use by date, unopened. Would you?

No. Definitely not.

RatherBeRiding · 24/08/2017 13:52

No - not with chicken. I have risked one day before but two isn't worth it. Chicken can be very nasty.

NSEA · 24/08/2017 13:53

Smell it. If it smells ok I would risk it. Use by dates arw arbitrary anyway x

MumBod · 24/08/2017 13:54

No chance.

MusicToMyEars800 · 24/08/2017 16:28

I would only use it if it looks and smells ok, If there's any off smell or looks bin it!

Wormulonian · 24/08/2017 17:16

just chuck - not worth the risk

Wolfiefan · 24/08/2017 17:18

Not a hope in hell. Not all organisms that can put you in the hospital actually smell.

Heratnumber7 · 24/08/2017 17:23

Yes I would if it doesn't smell and isn't furry.
But I am well known for my lax standards.

No one has died yet in my family.

PigPaws · 24/08/2017 18:50

Thanks all, felt too nervous to take the risk so have binned it. Bloody online shopping - use by dates often seem much too soon
