Saturday Night Dinner

On Saturday evenings We like to eat something a bit more special and time consuming to cook than the quick weekday meals we have. Am all out of ideas recently though. Any suggestions, for 4 people 2 adults and 2 children 11 & 12.

Simple aperos such as olives and crisps etc.

Bouillabaisse served as broth first, followed by fish and steamed potatoes.

Fruit for pudding.

Risotto
Homemade lasagne
Curry - made from scratch including DIY spice blend, home-made chapattis/naan bread etc
Moussaka
You could try making your own pasta - that definitely takes time!

Beef rendang?
Proper chilli?
Sushi?
Thai fishcakes followed by curry or pad Thai?

Is there is a cuisine you don't usually cook?
I've pinned this monkfish and oriental salad dish, to try next, Japanese is something i know vertpy little about.
Do you bake. Baking bread to accompany a meal is a nice touch when you have time.
