So I came across a few recipes recently using square/rectangular foil cointainers to make pies. What I'm wondering is how sturdy are these containers to make pies? I'd love to make some chicken pot pies.
I've used these foil containers in the past to give food to elderly neighbors and they seem to get squashed a little too easily if giving things like cottage pie or curry etc. But they seem to hold their shape if I give rice with curry as opposed to just curry ifyswim?
What I'd like to know is if anyone has had any luck using these foil containers to make pies and if so, does it matter which brand of foil containers you use or will any aluminum container do? 🤔
