It's AWFUL!!!!

I love that sort of thing - pickled onions, cornichons, wallies, pickled peppers yummmmm. But the sauer kraut is GRIM.

What can I do with it?

Nice on a sandwich. Rye bread, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and tomatoes. Lots of pepper. One of my favourites.

My nan used to make a delicious goulash with pork, sauerkraut and carraway seeds. Dollop of plain yoghurt on top with rice. Delicious.

Just seen veggie. Her recipe had onions, carrots, sauerkraut, caraway seeds and was really tasty.

Carraway is lovely, but lots of people seem to hate it.

I made it with Schupfnudeln once. That's a bit like Gnocchi? You can also have it with Spaetzle which is lovely and not difficult to make allegedly.

I'm afraid I am struggling to think of things it goes with which aren't pig-based. Well, it is German...
