ds has been eating small amounts quorn since 10 months

Taylormamaloveslindtbunnies · 26/03/2007 20:32

DS had quorn and tofu at 7 months - seems fine!

FrannyandZooey · 26/03/2007 20:34

Quorn is a low fat food so if you give it to young ones you need to give high fat foods alongside, or later in the day

I also give my ds quorn but as many posters on here point out, it is a very processed and rather highly flavoured and salty food. You may want to think of alternatives or at least limit the amount you give.

Pelvicfloornomorechocolate · 26/03/2007 20:34

Really cos i read somewhere something about the salt levels or something and i couldn't remember exactly what age it said,so that's good to know

have a look on the quorn website. i had a look for my ds and it is fine for them but because it is not nutritionally dense and is low in fat/high in fibre, they should not rely on it as a major protein source. ds gets it 2x a week ish. sorry don't have link - try google or whoever

I didn't know there was a salt issue - I have been giving my girls quorn since they were tiny.

nickytwotimes · 26/03/2007 20:36

i though tit was pretty low in salt? it is proccessed, though

Pelvicfloornomorechocolate · 26/03/2007 20:36

Thats great thanks.
It will make mealtimes easier if we can all eat a Quorn meal.
