Dyeing ice cream cones?

Hi all,

I need to dye some ice cream cones black for a party and not too sure how to do it. I have gel and liquid food colouring but unsure how much food colouring and how much water is needed?

Try a mixture of say...half and half just to get an idea.

Dampen the brush with the liquid colouring, dip it into the gel as a 'paint' should achieve a good consistency without losing any colour
