Hello,

I am having some dear friends come to stay and recently the partner has become vegan.

I love to cook and host, but I'm a little concerned I won't be able to give my guests the full Poverty experience. Grin

Tell me, does this sound ok?

Main meal-
Kerelan Coconut milk lightly spiced chickpea curry
Spinich Dahl
Soy yoghurt Dahl
Poppadoms
Spicy onions, chutneys and nan

Brunch
Roasted tomatoes
Roasted mushrooms
Chilli avocados
Sourdough and preserves
Granola and Berries

I have some grilled chicken skewers for the curry to add as a side for the main meal and I will do bacon and eggs for brunch.

Will it be ok? Would you be happy with this? My vegan friend is vegan due to health rather than ethical reasons.

I wouldn't bother with the soy yogurt - dice the cucumber/carrots and dress them with lime juice, a grinding of salt and some chopped green coriander - bit of spring onion /shallot if you can be arsedSmile

I absolutely love soy yogurt raita, is it so cooling with a curry, just be sure to use a yogurt that is natural not vanilla (speaking from experience!) your menu is perfect :)
