I have been coveting a Kitchen Aid for years and recently got a really good deal in the John Lewis sale. It's lovely - all sleek and black and shiny and gorgeous.

Any ideas of what to make in it first? Stuff you need that sort of stand mixer for? Thinking meringues but nobody except me is a fan...

I got a spiriliser and an ice cream maker with mine. The spiriliser is great, I haven't actually tried the ice cream maker yet.

I use mine for loads. Cakes, cookie dough, bread dough, creams, meringue, batter, all sorts. And of course it looks gorgeous on the work top too. Grin

Haven't done bread for ages. Maybe a loaf, and cake.

We'll be the size of houses by August.
