Can I tinker with Suzy Wong's fab brownies??

Made these for the first time at the weekend and they are indeed fab. So fab in fact, that dh ate almost all of them.

We're having a family party this weekend and I'm going to make more brownies for it, but was thinking of substituting half the walnuts for white choc chips. I love white chocolate and just thought they might taste good, also, although the walnuts were nice, I wasn't sure how much they added to the overall deliciousness of the brownies.

So what do you think? Anyone else tried adding things to what is already the perfect brownie recipe?

Where is the original brownie recipe as they sound yummy!

sunnywong · 21/03/2007 13:38

on your own head be it

Do a search for the recipe collision, they truly are the best brownies I have ever tasted, can't believe I made them.

Anyway, Suzy/Sunny, so I really shouldn't try it? Would it be that bad? I'm prepared to try it for myself, I'm pretty sure I'd eat them no matter what, but as I'm half trying to lose a few pounds at the minute I don't want to end up having to make 2 batches. Have you ever tried choc chips in them?

well if you do, promise you will only use very dark chocolate for the cake bit

the contrast is important

Best of luck to you

Now my interest has been well and truly hooked - any chance of a link to the original recipe?

percypig · 21/03/2007 14:28

So how many portions does it make (and i know that depends on how big is a portion)!

Am thinking it's about 70pts for the lot (excluding walnuts if i dare) - so maybe 80 pts with walnuts.

But if we're cutting it into 20 pieces that's only 4 pts a piece so not bad. Obv no good if piece no bigger than a crumb.

percypig · 22/03/2007 19:27

Cutting it into 20 would make fairly small brownies, but still worth it!
