How much do you spend on lunch at work?

Packed lunches or otherwise? I get a free lunch where I work currently, but I will have to budget for packed lunch/lunch out and about from September onwards.

What do you have and how much do you spend please?

At this time of year I usually make a salad or use leftovers from the night before. I make packed lunches for two teenage boys, which tends to be chicken breast with couscous or pesto pasta and some salad bits, so it is quite easy to make myself a smaller portion at the same time. In the winter I take soup or those frozen baked potatoes to heat up in the office microwave.

Taking my own at the moment as I'm low-carbing but when I used to buy it I'd spend about £4 on sandwich, crisps and drink (they do 'meal deals' in our in-house cafe)

I make a cream cheese sandwich and take some salad veg (crudites rather than an actual salad). There are so many things I'd rather spend money on than lunch, but I'm not at all a foodie.
