Good recipes for delicate stomach

Help please! I need some good recipes for a delicate recovering tum.

I've done a light chicken casserole, poached white fish, egg custard, yoghurt, jelly, plain pasta so far.

My poor ds needs to gain weight after a really nasty stomach bug that's gone on for a couple of weeks. On the mend now but he's turning up his nose at most food. He's only managing a few spoonfuls of anything so far.

Any ideas would be very gratefully received.

Stay clear of dairy, bananas and white rice is good. Marmite on toast is also good.

No wholewheat either as it can aggravate diarrhea. Peppermint tea is good.

Sorry badly written. Stay clear of dairy but bananas and white rice are good.

Thanks Timmytoo I did read that twice! Any suggestions for something to go on/with the white rice?

I used to find metatone Tonic boosted DC's appetite when they had been ill and off food. Will also replace some of the vitamins and minerals

Chicken broth - whole chicken carcass plus giblets, onion, celery, leeks, onions, carrots (any bottom of the fridge veg) in the slow cooker with salt, peppercorns and a couple of bay leaves. Leave overnight, put through a colander and get rid of all the solid bits. Add a fresh chopped opinion, carrots, celery to the liquid and cook for a few more hours. Add stock pot / salt / pepper to taste.

But also, unless he's very underweight and the doctor is concerned, I'd let him set the pace on eating. He's probably better at telling how much and what sort of food will be OK than you are, because it's his body. And you definitely want to avoid him getting any sense you're worried about how much he's eating, as it'll just put him off more.

Chicken risotto is a good one - very soothing - and egg fried rice is also one to try but obviously hold off on spices

What foods did he enjoy before getting ill?
