I've just moved into a two bed flat and haven't got a cooker or microwave etc.

I have however got my slow cooker. What can be done in this please? I'm 23 weeks pregnant.

Help 😔

You can do loads. My fave is a stew but that's probably a bit warm in this weather. How about savoury mince?

Casseroles, curry, chilli, spag bol. Are things I made a lot of. You can also add in some extra fluid and then add rice and cook rice in with the curry or what not. Took about 30 minutes on high.

You can also cook roasts and then serve with salad and bread. You can also make soups too.

We also had a George foreman so could make toasties and grill things like chicken and burgers.

Is it possible to cook things like a tin of beans in it etc?

I'm currently completely in love with my slow cooker, this is my three day meal plan

Day one (Sunday) - potato, carrot & parsnip on bottom of slow cooker and whole chicken on top, add about half a mug of water & cook all day (8 hours or so) on low.

We don't eat it all so keep leftover chicken and the liquid in the bottom for days 2 & 3

Day two - half the leftover chicken and liquid (it will have turned to jelly) some spices, rice, water & whatever veg we have kicking around to make a ressoto-ish meal

Day three - remaining leftovers plus potato, perl barley and veg for a chicken stew.

Best of luck, it takes some organisation but is lovely to come home to cooked meal

I don't see why not, it would take a while though...
