Slow cooker question

Hello, I'm a terrible cook (apart from spag bol!) and have got some friends coming over for dinner on saturday. Im going to cook this www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2468641/moroccan-chicken-onepot
But, I wonder if I can just chuck it all in the slow cooker? I'd whiz up the paste first, but just wondering if everything else can just be put in slow cooker and then be left to it? There are a couple of comments in the comment thread below saying they'd cooked in in slow cooker, but no details as to how.

i'd have a practise run first. looks like it might be ok from recipe, except that i wouldn't add all the stock as it will make it much too runny. maybe just add the stock pot and then you can add water later.....it will look very dry at first but don't panic

No without a practice run first.

I think you be better off cooking it in advance by the conventional method then reheat it to serve while you are making the couscous.

That's what I would do.
