Im sooooo cross, burnt DDs birthday cake and so Now.....

I have just spent another 50mins making another one!

Cant believe I left it cooking while I went to get DDs from sch- checked on it before I left, thought I had another 45 mins cooking time when I got back 30mins later her cake burnt!!!!!!

im not a cake baker at the best of times, but DD was adamant that she wanted a fairy mushroom cake, oh well I have till Friday to get it right!

trouble is at 18oz of flour a time and 6 eggs its not cheap!

So if anyone thinks to yell at me in 50mins GO CHECK YOUR BL**DY CAKE I would appreciate!

Can you chop off the burnt bits and ice over the gaps?

Thought about that as inside the cake actually tastes nice, unfortunately it would leave such a small cake and I think it would be difficult to make it into the mushroom shape she wants! (I had to cook it 2 bowls!)

I'll try to remember to give you a shout at some point!
