Why ziplock bags for freezable smoothies

Why do they always use ziplock plastic bags for freezing smoothies?

Obvious reason is they are easy to open and close but why not normal freezable plastic bags with a clip to seal it?

That's what they use for everything. A sandwich bag will do.
