Reheating bolognese - help

Allbutone85 · 05/06/2017 14:51

I'm cooking bolognese just now. It has been simmering for 30 minutes so far so I'll probably take it off the heat in 15 minutes. Do I need to cool it, then pop it in the fridge to reheat it later? Or should I just keep it in the pot and then reheat it at dinner time? We won't use it all tonight so anything left will go in the fridge overnight and need to be reheated again tomorrow night. Will this be okay (hearing it a further two times after cooking it)? Appreciate your help :)

I would separate into 2 portions and put both in the fridge (or freeze one if you don't want it tomorrow too). Reheat one portion for dinner later

I keep mine bubbling for ages (slow cooker, but very low on the hob also works) and it just gets tastier. I take portions out as I need them, then when the last person has eaten I let it cool, put some in the fridge and some in the freezer.
