Please girls help. 57 years of marriage. Because of other celebrations and trying to financially help someone close in the family we have decided to ce,berate at home. However, don't wish to be chained to the kitchen all day on Sunday. Decided to that DH would love above all liver, bacon and lots of onion. That is easy! Now about the desserts. Am making an apricot pie and classic French rum ba bas. The latter holds memories for us! Can I make the pie the day beforehand, not cook it, it put it in the fridge? Can I also make the rum ba bas the day before? Please you clever girls can you help!

Does the pie have a bottom crust as well, or just a top crust. If the latter, then I am sure it would be OK stored in the fridge overnight before baking. Rum Babas will be OK made the day before so long as they are cooled then wrapped up tightly to stop them drying out.

Thank you 4merly. Probably only top crust. That would eliminate the soggy base.
Thanks for the tip of wrapping rum babas up after cooling. Hadn't thought of that! Will make the sauce and heat it up beforehand. Thanks again.
