Just that. We've got people over later in the week on a day when I'm going to be busy. I'm going to do Nigella's Spanish chicken bake for main and just pre-bought fancy nibble bits in place of starter. So, hit me with your best very quick puddings. (I will be able to do in advance as am around at home all day, it must just be quick though to fit around many noisy small children!) Thsnks.

Lazy Baniofee pie:

Shop bought sweet pastry case (supermarket premium ones are best, e.g.: tesco finest)

Tin of Carnation caramel (or jar of tesco finest caramel sauce or dul du Leche (sp)

Add layer of sliced bananas

Top with whipped cream (ready prepped in some stores) and grated chocolate or dusting of cocoa powder.

The easiest sweet thing I make is a recipe from MIL. It's sort of a mix between brownies and flapjacks, but so delicious and squidgy.

8oz butter
8oz sugar
1 big tbsp golden syrup
4oz cocoa powder

Add to a saucepan and mix until melted. Then shove in 8oz SR flour and 5oz of oats, mix together, shove in a baking tray and stick in the oven for 2-3 minutes. Done.

@GinGeum I love the sound of that!! So they really only take 2-3 mins to cook?

GinGeum · 09/05/2017 18:27

They do! And then you just cut them up into squares when you take them out.

There's also microwave sponge pudding. I make sponge mix (Can't remember quantities but it's in the same proportions as when making a sponge cake), put some jam or fruit in the bottom of a microwavable Pyrex dish, put the sponge mix on top and cook on full power for a few minutes until cooked. Heat up a tin of custard and there you go.

Nothing to add, but certainly some good ideas to try here. I will have to try the plain yogurt and coconut cream and also the white chocolate sauce with berries.

caramel pineapple

buy pre prepped pineapple

put a decent layer of caster sugar into a heavy pan that is not non stick and heat until the sugar is melted....do not stir, just shoogle it about a bit

when you have melted caramel throw in about a cupful of double cream...it will spit like lava but keep stirring and when it is a smooth creamy caramel sauce throw in the pineapple too
