What would you add to a jarred curry?

I'm making a chicken tikka masala with veg in the slow cooker and very lazily using a jarred tikka sauce because life is too short.
It doesn't have as much sauce as i would like. Would you add yogurt? Tomatoes? Coconut milk?
Any bright ideas would be most welcome.

If you add tomatoes it will zap the flavour. I'd add another jar of the sauce.

I always think there isn't enough sauce when I first put it in, but as it simmers down it tends to get a bit wetter, I'd wait a little bit and if it still isn't enough add half a jar more

@Newtssuitcase I would if I had one Smile I'm trying to avoid dragging the kids to the shops if I can!

@NoCapes that's true, I suppose once the mushrooms start cooking more they'll ooze out some fluid

I quite like a thick chunky curry anyway without loads of sauce in my plate, if all else fails just pretend it's meant to be like that Grin

Id add the coconut milk myself OP but I do like my curries on the sweet side when I make them at home

BillyButtfuck · 08/05/2017 11:27

I add red pepper pesto

We have the Aldi ones all the time - I add half a jar of water with it for extra sauce. The korma one is a firm family favourite.

Sweet is good @JustAnotherPoster00 Anything too spicy and the kids I'll go on hunger strike

Add some stock maybe

Do you have curry powder and corn flour? Just add them both to thicken it!
