Anyone tried Cloud Eggs?

It's supposed to be the newest food trend.

Basically separate egg, whisk white until fluffy. Put on baking tray in oven. After a few minutes put yolk on egg and cook for a few minutes more.

Need to get some fresh eggs and will give this a go.

Not heard of this one. Following with interest.

DH had one with truffles at a business dinner. He said it was a bit like a savoury iles flottante. He did enjoy it, but probably wouldn't bother again. Interesting, but not as good as a well made omelette.

Yuo! Saw then a few months ago on my family on CBeebies (they made it for the mum's birthday breakfast in bed) and went straight out to try them cos they looked so yummy. And they are really yummy! Recommend them!

I used to make these at uni when I came home for the holidays, as my mum would have truffle oil and parmesan!

I haven't made these, but saw a review in the Times this week that said that it was like eating a styrofoam, taste-free meringue.

I've done them but you need to put something with a bit of flavour into the whites to avoid them being like flavourless meringues. Parmesan works OK. They are a good way to get the magic combo of perfectly cooked whites with the yolk still runny.

I've done them but they are a bit of a faff to be honest. They were too bland by themselves so I grilled some bacon to add to the egg white.

They were nice but not exactly a fast food.

I made them this morning. They were lovely.
