Pastry for pie help

FunSpunge · 06/05/2017 18:31

Currently making a pie.

Recipe doesn't state blind bake the base but on the side of the pastry box there is a recipe for a quiche, which says blind bake.

Do I need to or not? I know a quiche isn't a pie but surely the base is used the same way?

how do you know when you should/shouldn't blind bake, I don't want a soggy bottom Blush

Yep, I'd blind bake.

If the pie-filling is in any way wet then blind bake.
