Hello
I'm looking for a pre-iced sponge cake for 50 people that I can decorate myself. Does anyone have any ideas please? Thank you

If you have a costco near you you can get their big cakes ordered in plain so theres no words or pictures. And its only a tenner which is a bonus!

Oh fab. Thank you

I was just about to say Costco too. They are about £13 and my children have them for their birthdays.

They will do some basic personalisation (writing) but you have to order in advance.

Costco cakes are a universal hit. Seriously, I used to get speciality ones made but no one gets as excited as they do when you rock up with a Costco cake. And you can but up the left over bits and freeze it.

Isn't the icing a bit crazy sweet though? Guess that's the point!

I bought one today.

The icing tastes like sweetened lard.

Indeed - even my cake crazy children don't like costco cakes, they are madly sugary and sickly.
