We all just ate some 'tex mex dips' purchased at the supermarket and realised the use by date was yesterday. would the salsa and guacamole be okay? It looked and tasted fine, it wasnt until i put the wrapper in the bin that i noticed.

As long as they've been in the fridge I'm sure they'll be fine. You'd have noticed an odd taste if they'd been off.

I'm quite relaxed about use by dates, I tend to go by smell & taste.

I'm really laid back and wouldn't bat an eyelid about using those - and if the pack wasn't "blown" and they didn't taste odd then I think you're pretty safe - especially as neither of those contain high risk ingredients

I don't even look at the use by dates Blush I always go by sight, smell and taste. I think the dips would've been fine.

I'm very strict on fish and meat but other things much less so. The dips would have been fine.
