Non eggy meringue

Is there anything that can be added to a meringue to make it taste less eggy?

I've not made one for a while but was going to, someone at work made one which inspired me but then I tasted it & it was really eggy.

I think they've just done a bad job. I've never tasted an eggy meringue.
