Cake - in freezer for 6 months - still edible?

I have a half a chocolate/chestnut cake in the freezer. It's been there since last November. I'm assuming it will still be ok to eat defrosted??

I had forgotten it was there until I spied it today. It was delicious so I will cry if it has to be chucked out...

Absolutely. We ate the top layer of our wedding cake at the christening of one of our DCs 3 years later! (was in the freezer till then). Tasted great.

Yup! I just this week dug out my leftover wedding cake from June, still tasty.

It'll be fine. It might be a bit dry, but you could chuck some booze on in that case.
