How can I use up leftover Easter Egg chocolate?

We seem to have tons of broken shells left! I have stored it in a tupperware box. How can I use it? The kids enjoyed the bars and packets but have no interest in the eggs. The adults in the house aren't keen on chocolate and I don't really want to foist a load of broken up stuff on anyone else. Any ideas?

Make crispy cakes to sell from your garden like a yard sale?! Profits for ice creams!!

Put it in a cake - I did that with a Heston gold painted Easter egg last year. Just find a chocolate cake that includes melted chocolate or use it in cake icing.

Great ideas thanks. I wondered if I could attempted some sort of ice cream maybe too.

Shock you have left over chocolate!

idsisatwat · 25/04/2017 21:12

What Patricia said

You could just eat it....

FlouncingInTheRain · 25/04/2017 21:15

I grate it. Stops me picking at it. It then is used on warm sponge cakes out the oven as it melts imediately, covers them and seals in the moisture, on cheap cereals like fake wheet bricks, on icecream as a topper, in hot milk to make hot chocolate etc etc

I knew I would get 'eat it' responses! Genuinely don't like chocolate! Never have. If I was left over with a pile of nuts or crisps they would be gone but neither me or DH likes choc.

Grating it is a very good idea, thank you. I would happily sprinkle it on plain cereal for the kids- they would deffo eat that.

rocky road...300g chocolate, splidge of golden syrup, half a pack of butter...melt together
200g crushed biscuits and 200g ish of things like marsh mallows/chocolate raisins/m&ms/cherries...i just go through the odd packet ends in the cupboard and throw in stuff that matches.

press it into a tin and set inthe fridge.
