Hunter's chicken recipe

My sister gave dd hunter's chicken when DD was there for dinner last week. AFAIK she used the aldi jar but they didn't have it in stock in my local one today. The recipes I've found seem to be the american "take one bottle of BBQ sauce, add one pack of..." variety so I can't fathom them. I've never had it before, so I'm thinking passata, smokey paprika, bacon lardons, bit of brown sugar and maybe worstershire sauce and Dijon mustard?

Do you mean hunters chicken like you get on pub menus with chicken breast wrapped in bacon with cheese and BBQ sauce?
Or is it more of a casserole kind of thing?

Eh, I'm not sure, I've never had it! According to dd's memory, it was chicken in sauce (sister had a gaggle of children in the house, so can't imagine she bothered wrapping anything in anything else!) She's away for a few days so don't want to bother her with nonsense like a recipe question.

I'm not sure if this is the right thing but I make it a lot because it's delicious! I add grilled sausages at the end (six good ones) and serve it with green veg and mash.

3 big spoons each of :

Balsamic vinegar
dark soy sauce
honey
