My hob is out of order for the next few weeks so all I have is an oven....I usually cook a lot but almost everything I make from scratch is on the hob at least to start off and I am having a massive brain block

Ideas for nice cooked breakfasts would be amazing as well as dinners Smile

Do you have a microwave, toaster or sandwich press? I ask because they could dramatically increase your range of choices.

You can cook almost anytihg in the oven that you would on the hob, but you can't brown it first so may need to add stock cubes to bolster flavour.

chilli, curry, stew, fricassee, rice, pasta: all can be done in the oven. Meat and potatoes with roast veg.

Pinkheart my mouth watered at your amazing list!

I guess my just used browning things first but that's great hear

That hob is tempting at that price though!!!

Thanks all Smile

Iceland to frozen crossaints and pain au chocolat that you just stick in oven, so good! Also for dinner a nice steak pie from m and s oh and their chedder mash, some steamed veg in microwave if you have one and a large yorkshire pud, yum!

For lighter bite some tear and share bread, dips and some cheese sticks you can cook in oven.

I bake all breakfast stuff, bacon, sausages, roasted tomatoes or mushrooms and eggs. Roasted tomatoes and eggs is my favourite breakfast.

You could do a sort of bircher thing overnight in the fridge with oats and yoghurt.

Virtually all casseroles can be cooked in the oven (with dumplings of course), I rarely brown any meat these days, if you chop onions small enough and cook it on low for long enough everything will soften/cook.

Spanish omelette with tinned new potatoes in the oven.

I have got an Aga and have got a couple of hotplates that I use in the summer, you can get a single one for £11 on amazon.
