Steak dinners

What do you have with steak? I've just made the reduction for some bearnaise and I wondered what everyone else likes. My favourite is ribeye cooked medium-rare with bearnaise, a chunk of baguette and some bitter leaves. DH prefers to have chips and onion rings. What about you lot?

chips obvs.

I go for chunky chips, bitter leaves and just a simple sauce with red wine and garlic and a little cream swooshed around the cooking pan...so in between you and your DH...I do like a field mushroom with steak though.

My partner has started making his with a creamy mushroom sauce and it's bloody lovely.

Rib eye cooked in full fat real butter with oven roasted sprouts. Roasted in bacon or goose fat. Either will do the job! With 2 big dollops of bearnaise or garlic mayonnaise.

I eat this at least twice a week.

We had steak the other night, with dauphoise potatoes and a blackberry sauce. The sauce is from a recipe to go with venison, but I think it works with any red meat.

I'm a bit of a weirdo in that -ssshhhh- I don't like chips Blush so I've always gone for the baguette. I'm very interested in the oven-roastes sprouts idea, though...
