I make a small tuna sandwich, cut up half a banan(her fave) and a small slice of red pepper and serve it to dd2 on a small plate. she is strapped into her highchair.
she pokes it all for about 5 mins and then sweeps the palate onto the floor
I let her down, clear up, say nothin. now she will be hungry and grumpy. so what do I do now and why do I bother serving her food when she just throws it on the floor

Oh i know how annoying this can be.
How old is your dd2?
My dd2(14 months) does this sometimes and usually when she just doesn't want what i've given her or because she is teething or unwell.
She is a really good eater but she still does this but most of the time she throws food when she has had enough.
It is my most hated job in the house, cleaning up bloomin food scraps ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH.

That must be so frustrating for you.
Could you let her try having a picnic on the floor? was just thinking that it might be a bit different for her.
If you have already tried alternatives tell me to shut up

TrinityRhino · 10/03/2007 12:29

I could try that, at least then the food is already on the floor
