It says what temop and how long but do I need to cover it with foil??
Or put anything on it like butter or lemon juice?

I like to double wrap it in foil
With soy sauce, ginger and spring onion
or simply lemon and butter

salmon in the oven is nice but goes kind of oily .. I tend to wrap it in foil .. can sprinkle with black pepper and lemon juice and put it in at 180 for 20 mins

I prefer it poached though cos it goes pink and fluffy and has a different taste completely

salt, pepper, lemon and little butter if you have it - or a dash of white wine.

Lovely.

Twiglett · 08/03/2007 17:40

to poach stick in a deep frying pan and cover with water .. add some peppercorns a bayleaf and some lemon quarters (or splash or 2 of juice) .. bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes

jsut as easy .. and really much nicer IMHO

I butter a piece of foil, place salmon on top with some fresh herbs, squeeze of lemon juice, salt and pepper. Then make into a closed packet. HTH

Here's a gorgeous salmon fillet recipe, for next time you have a whole fillet hanging around: Lie the salmon in a roasting pan skin side down. Drizzle over 1/4 cup soy sauce soy sauce, then spread over 3 tablespoons oyster sauce. Grind over fresh black pepper. Leave to marinate for about an hour. Bake at 200ºC for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is almost cooked through. Yum.
