School Bean Pie recipe

This may sound very stupid but I wanted to know if the bean pie they serve at school is just baked beans and shortcrust pastry? I have looked it up online and all the recipes have sausages and seem more complicated than I remember it being. Surely it was just baked beans inside? Anyway this is because I am craving it badly! My daughter mentioned she had had it at school and I really want some. Please let there be a MNetter out there who is a dinner lady or knows what I am talking about

You could email the school lunch providers for the recipe? I've done that a few times when daughter likes something and I want to do it at home!

Don't think that one's on our menu, but yes, ask for the recipie. Cook will be thrilled.

I do a similar one, ready rolled pastry, sliced cooked sausages or mini cooked cocktail sausages a tin or two of baked beand, lots of grated cheeee and some woucestershire sauce, cook until pastry done.

Are children really served baked bean pie at school?
