Bloody hell, Aldi got expensive!

Went there last night, for the first time ever I didn't but some things due to prices (nectarines, £1.19 for four, blackberries, about thirteen million quid).
Is this Brexit, linked to the courgette crisis, or just a temporary blip? Aldi had always been guilt free shopping for me, the last bastion of chuck everything in the trolley and it'll be OK, is that not the case anymore? Sad

That's not a political comment by the way, it's just a statement of fact.

I noticed on my last couple visits that certain items were more expensive, but today’s shop was up around £18 which is a lot of money for the shopping I get for me and my boyfriend all the prices have gone up and not by a small amount. They’ve stopped doing products I like , protein bars , basa fillets skinless boneless

I have gone back to shopping at Tesco.
Aldi doesn't seem any cheaper and a lot of things are not decent quality at all. For instance I have recently bought rancid chicken fillets, butter that was also rancid, tomatoes that were mouldy after 2 days. The cat and dog wont touch their pet food.
Nah, not worth it.

Lidl has gone up too time

Yes I noticed that last time I went. Mind you I stormed out of there without my basket of shopping. In the 'cash' queue. Waited ages and the machine they directed me to was not working! So much stuff not there now either - i used to like the 'Simple' mixed beans and the smoked trout pieces but have not seen them for a while.
