Supermarkets that sell loose potatoes?

Which supermarkets sell loose white potatoes (or maris piper, king edward, etc. - just not baking potatoes!)

My local Tesco and Asda only seem to sell loose baking potatoes and new potatoes.

What do you do if you're a small family and can't get through a whole 2kg bag of potatoes? They inevitably get chucked even if I keep them in the dark cupboard to stop them sprouting...

Lidl sometimes have Maris piper loose
Also m&s sell loose,

On the loose ones you have to look on box/carton to see which verity they are

Depending on how many you buy though just 3 can be near £1.50

DP and I manage with the 2.5kg bags and I try to limit potatoes to twice a week max. They last ages - I just pick the sprouty bits off. Blush

All the sainsburys near me do

Take them out of the plastic and keypad them in the dark (garage, drawer, cupboard) and they'll last weeks without sprouting.

M&S do loose Maris Piper's.

Having said that, I just buy a bag and generally manage to get through it on my own. Kept in a vegetable rack inside a dark cupboard they keep for weeks!

I just pick the eyes off. I'll only chuck them if they've gone soft or green.

Just cut the sprouts bits off
Potatoes last for ages
Just don't eat any green bits
If you keep them in the dark they won't go green
