Guests arriving at 10.30am - what would you give them to eat?

Got friends arriving at 10.30am on Saturday. They will be driving down from the Midlands, leaving at 8am and will be staying till around half 12 before they go off on another 1-1.5 hour drive.

Unsure what sort of food to serve them? Is it brunch? Early lunch? Late breakfast? HELP!!

Brunch.

Catherinebee85 · 20/02/2017 15:03

Ask them if they plan to stop for breakfast on the way or whether you should do bacon and egg butties when they arrive?

Hgmother · 20/02/2017 15:05

French baguette sandwhiches? With cheeses, ham etc

TupperwareTat · 20/02/2017 15:10

Pancakes with lots of fillings & coffee.

I'd put out some bread, olives, ham, cheeses, tomatoes etc and just let them choose what they fancy. Nothing too formal.

Brunch and let them know s9 they can plan food stops accordingly

Full English with lots of coffee.
Or huge egg, sausage and bacon baps.

I could just eat those now Smile

I'd check with them. We'd all eat before setting off so wouldn't want a full English or similar, maybe some tea and toast to tide us over for the second part of the journey.

Croissants, part baked petit pain, Etc plus stuff to put in e.g. ham, pate, cheese, philly, etc

Somehowsomewhere · 20/02/2017 15:27

Sausage and bacon butties.

Somehowsomewhere · 20/02/2017 15:28

toffeeboffin · 20/02/2017 15:28

Coffee and crossaints.

EssentialHummus · 20/02/2017 15:30

Coffee and croissants, with sarnies and cold drinks for them to take with them on their drive.

Thanks everyone, great ideas!! Knowing the sort of food that they like, I am going to go with the ham/cheese/bread/olives route and also some pastries and croissants. Thanks everyone!
