Love this - crushed digestives, marg, syrup and/or sugar cocoa, cherries, sultanas, and the all-important melted chocolate on top...what's not to like?! Grin. Only trouble is, my biscuit base always crumbles when it's cut into squares. Can anyone suggest a remedy? Am I using too little butter maybe? Hmm. Any tips welcome. Btw the recipe I use has 260g digestives, 110g marg, 1 dsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp syrup, 2 tbsp cocoa, 150g dried fruit (I use a mix of glace cherries and sultanas), with 250g melted choc for topping

I would say add more butter, the only thing keeping those crumbs together is the butter 'cement.'
