Stir fry recipes

I like the idea of a stir fry as a very fast weekday meal. We've tried buying the ready made sauces in sachets but we don't love them. The one we had most recently was especially bland and with supermarket stir fry veg it all just tasted like cabbage.

Does anyone have any good stir fry recipes? It would be nice if the recipe was flexible about vegetables, so we could use what we have or what was on offer that week. We have access to Asian supermarkets but I wouldn't want to go there every week.

I'm allergic to shellfish, if it makes any difference.

Thanks!

A very quick and tasty one is chicken marinated in a combo of soy sauce, honey and ginger, then stir-fried quickly with whatever veg you fancy.

Also Google "velveting meat/chicken". Revolutionary!

Tana Ramsey's sweet and sour pork is a firm family week night favourite in our house! Really easy, and really tasty! You can easily vary the veg you add too. www.eatyourbooks.com/library/recipes/701677/sweet-and-sour-pork

I generally use soy sauce, 5 spice, garlic and chilli. Tastes different every time but full of flavour!

I stir fry any veg and noodles and then add home made sauce. A stir fry is always improved with lime wedges for squeezing, crushed cashews or toasted sesame seeds on top and prawn crackers on the side. And chilli sauce of your choice ( I have about 5 in the fridge!!)

  1. (Rough amounts, changes every time!) large spoon each of : soy sauce, runny honey, sesame oil, peanut butter. Dollop of grated ginger and crushed garlic. Chilli flakes. Squeeze of lime juice. Add hot water to mix and make a runny sauce.
  1. Large spoon each of fish sauce, tamarind paste, soft brown sugar. Plus chilli flakes.
  1. Large spoon of soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, dollop of grated ginger. Sprinkle of sesame seeds.

4: large spoon soy sauce, teaspoon 5 spice.

What veggies do you put in your stir fry

I marinade the meat in soy sauce, red wine vinegar, grated garlic and crushed ginger. Drain the meat after several hours and bake in oven. Mix cornflour into reserved marinade and use as sauce with veggies.

Those recipes look sooo good. I've used onion and orange zest very roughly cut I must say but hell, it really works.
