ScummyMummy · 25/02/2007 18:27

ScummyMummy · 25/02/2007 18:27

Stir fry?

Kif · 25/02/2007 18:29

shred/slice it then serve mixed with some shredded dark green veggies (savoy csbbage? greens? pak choi?)

Oati · 25/02/2007 18:29

soup

make shepherds pie and mix the lamb with lentils or beans to 'stretch' it

marthamoo · 25/02/2007 18:30

Lamb curry? I make a lovely one with chickpeas, sweet potato and spinach which would make your lamb go a lot further.

elclose · 25/02/2007 18:41

make kebabs, shred the lamb add some spices and fry, then pile into warm pitta or naan with lettice onion chilli sauce ect yum yum yum !!!

cupcakesgalore · 25/02/2007 18:42

Heathcliffscathy · 25/02/2007 18:43

sounds delicious.

Heathcliffscathy · 25/02/2007 18:44

am back on wagon and rolling btw so tell me it doesn't contain points catastrophe coconut milk please!

marthamoo · 25/02/2007 18:48

I haven't exactly got a recipe - I just chuck stuff in willy nilly. So it could have coconut milk in if, say, you had half a can that needed using up.

I've fallen off the wagon, hit my head, and got amnesia - can't remember what WW is exactly. Can it encompass going to Pizza Express cos that's what we just did ?

Bart's reduced fat coconut milk is not so bad, points wise, btw.

Heathcliffscathy · 25/02/2007 18:54

yeah but you were under your goal anyway lady!

so you can!

I have lost 1 1/2 stone.

another half stone will be normal weight i was when met dh. another stone will be wedding day weight.

COME ON!!! [said a la oasis type thug person]

thanks fio!

because your lamb is fatty, i'd be inclined to fry it to release some of that....fry it with loads of veggies and have it in an omelette? underrated the humble omelette imo.

marthamoo · 25/02/2007 19:11

Fio, are you not 30 yet? Bloody hell - sod being thin, you're young !

Well done, soph...keep going!

I'm a bit fed up with myself atm so somewhat lacking in motivation...I'll get back on track at some point.

sophy · 25/02/2007 19:28

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. probably go for the curry.

What about a Lamb Tagine,
Fry some quartered onions, chop the lamb into chunks and add, chuck in some whole garlic and then any veg you have, I usually use carrots in chunks, peppers and courgettes. I add some ginger, and cardomon pods and some turmeric and a pinch of saffron. Then put some veg stock in, enough to cover the meat. I let it bubble away until the stock is just a gravy.
We have that with rice of cous-cous. Is nice to add some honey too!
