Anyone want to recommend me one? I seem to end up making endless pancakes on a Sunday morning and actually maybe waffles would be a change. Plus I love them and so do the kids.

Is the Cuisinartn one on Lakeland the definitive, or one of the round ones on Amazon? What about ones that say they are interchangeable plates and do sandwiches/paninis too? (I am guessing they are jack of all trades and master of none - but happy to be corrected)

We have the lidls one. It makes two waffles at a time and we have had it for years.

We have a VonShef £23 one from Amazon, never sticks, super quick to heat up, we love it. Makes 4 at a time.

we have a VonShef one from Amazon too - probably the same one! Perfectly serviceable, makes nice crispy waffles (use a batter recipe with yeast, and add a little vegetable oil for crispness), and for £25, no guilt if you only use it for holidays and treats.

Although, that said, we use it at least a couple of times a month, and it's great for lazy family brunches around Easter/Christmas/whenever visitors turn up in bulk.

I substitute left over yoghurt for the buttermilk, leave out the sugar and use caramel flavouring instead of the amaretto
