I've been struggling to find courgettes locally, and thought it was just a local supply issue. Turns out there is apparently a national courgette shortage. So, stealth boast time - are courgettes plentiful where you are and will you post to Gtr Manchester

Only found this out 2 weeks ago. Local greengrocer told me he normally buys a box for £4, they are now £16.

Guess the poor harvest/lack of sunshine, plus the increase in popularity, due to low carb, spiralising, courgetti, means it's going to be generally more expensive in the future, presumably.

Its my turn to "own" the two veg patches/ flower beds in our garden this year. DH had his weeds wild flowers last year. I am going to grow tons of courgettes. They're quite easy to grow.

My local Tesco won't let me order the following online:

Iceberg Lettuce
Rocket
Courgettes
Broccoli.

I went into the store to try to buy a lettuce - there was one browning bruised Iceberg on the shelf, and a sign saying 'Due to the ongoing weather conditions in Spain, we are experiencing a shortage of lettuce. We will be limiting bulk buying to 3 per person' Shock

I had to buy a loose leaf lettuce instead... the horror!

Still can't find any :( Even struggled with aubergine, only got the baby ones (which are fine, but I normally buy 1 large one, which was not offered).

I'm in Hampshire.
