Alternative to take away pizza on a friday

Hi all
We normally get dominos pizza on a Friday. It is quick, everyone eats it and no one fusses.
It is however creeping up in price even with an internet code as the children eat more and more.
I would prefer not to feed them take away pizza as well as it is loaded with crap, but alas I really like not having to cook on a friday.
Does anyone have any fun end of week food suggestions?
Thanks!

Fish and chips?

I'm not really sure what you're asking tbh.

Nothing quite beats dominos does it.
If you're trying to be healthier can you have it once a fortnight or month and have home cooked fish and chips or something else easy like burritos or pulled pork.

We make our own pizza and it's much better than dominoes. We have a pizza oven which is a revelation. I make the dough and pizza sauce. I use grated mozzarella, chorizo and other veggies. I also dust it in semolina to give it the authentic dominoes feel. We also buy garlic dip to go with it. It's taken us years to perfect it but our pizza party Friday night is perfection.

Thanks so much folks! You've given me lots of ideas.
@Scaffleen I'm jealous of your pizza oven but not sure I have the space! I have a pizza stone which did improve the home made pizza quality though!

What did you have tonight op?

BWatchWatcher · 30/12/2016 23:09

It's still xmas! We had corn chips, houmous, cheese and assorted salamis.
Bought some more vegetables and fruit today though!

some of the supermarket ones are really nice.you could even do an online shop.set it for delivery at your tea time Friday and it could still be as exciting as delivery pizza! you just have to bung it in the oven.and they do pizza express food in supermarkets now too.plus they usually have offers on.ristorante ones are nice.tesco own brand and some of the roasted veggie pizzas are lovely. weve done this with currys night too.
we have natcho night sometimes.cook a batch of mince then pile on the doritos crips and grated cheese bung under the grill.yum
