Failsafe biscuit cutter recipe, please!

Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe for a biscuit that holds it shape when cut? I have some biscuit cutters that I'd like to try out but my go to recipe spreads out when baking.

Have seen a few recipes online but they use cups and I can only bake with UK measurements... G or Oz, I don't mind, but not cups!

TIA! Smile

These are absolutely delicious (just eaten one!) and a firm favourite here. The recipe makes loads, I tend to make a batch and cook a trayful every few days over Christmas. iced spice biscuits

Oh and I make it all in one, not creaming first.

Made Mary Berry's biscuit recipe for family. Rest the dough to make it easier to roll out and don't make them too thin.
