I have 2 very ripe bananas that are desperate to be used. My go to is banana bread but the oven is out of action. What else can I do?
I have basic store cupboard stuff in.

chop them, freeze them. Then use for banana bread when your oven is fixed or blitz in processor from frozen to make soft scoop icecream.

slice, fry in butter, add brown sugar, rum or orange juice
with cream or ice cream

I whizz them into pancake batter and make banana pancakes, yum!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 08/12/2016 12:55

Assuming you can cook on top of the oven? If not whizz and make a smoothie.

If you've got a job, banana pancakes are fab.

Hob not job!

Or yoghurt - mash and mix with Greek yogurt. Sex up with whatever you fancy - peanut butter, honey, choc chunks, granola..

Freeze them until your oven is back in action!
