Any cake makers out there - I have to make a slug cake!

So, helping a friend out for her son's birthday. It's just a favour, as she's just had a baby, so she's just grateful not to have to do it herself.

I was going to cut out three long slug shapes and carve them a little bit, then cover with butter cream and brown fondant icing. I think I can do the eyes with fondant on some sort of stick.

I would be so so happy if anyone had any decoration ideas,

Uhm... why on earth a slug cake? I looked on Pinterest but nothing, nada!

I made the cake and it turned out pretty well.

I made two tray bake sized chocolate cakes and made them into a double slug shape with a curved tail, double-buttercreamed the and covered them in striped of green and brown fondant then made big eyes and feelers from fondant over lolly sticks!
