Any ideas what to serve with Nigella's Cola Ham for a party?

This is the recipe

I'll make roasties but wondered about veg or anything else? Any ideas?

Most people will be eating off their knees/standing with a fork only probably. It's for a party rather than a dinner party!

Thanks in advance Smile

Mini corn on the cobs? I'd do hassleback potatoes as well. Coleslaw maybe?

Boulangere or dauphinoise potatoes might be better than roasties if it's a fork buffet? Chunky carrots? Green beans?

Coleslaw and triple cooked chips (nice and easy to eat one handed)

You could do deep fried kale which is my current favourite.

I'd probably do it with macaroni cheese and leeks if it's a standing dish.

Spiced red cabbage! Looks so festive Xmas Smile

Yeah good suggestions bearing the fork only thing in mind. As I typed it I had a vision of a roastie and the whole plate of food going flying when someone tried to cut it with the side of a fork.

Love dauphinoise! And mini corn on the cob is great if I can get those little holder things

It's yummy with cauliflower cheese if that was doable for a standing party.

Mac Cheese is divine with this, baked in oven. You could add veg to it if you want. Also easy to eat with fork. She has a recipe using evaporated milk cheese and eggs which is so simple to make,

Keep it old school with potato salad?

Warm baguettes with prawns and dill mayonnaise, devilled eggs, tomato and mozzarella salad?

foodiefil · 06/12/2016 21:43

Definitely feeling the mac and cheese. Then pos the chips and some kind of veg that's easy to poke on a fork. So glad I asked you all x

Red cabbage, green salad and a choice of Brioche rolls, baguette, sliced rye bread. Hot rolls, yum!
