I have just found a pack of unopened chicken breasts (best before 3rd Dec) and an unopened pack of pork belly slices (best before 4th Dec) in the fridge. Haven't opened either yet but do you think they'd be safe to eat if I cooked them all thoroughly tonight?

I would eat them. Do it all the time, just make sure that they are cooked thoroughly.

Chicken no. Pork no.

Beef yes if it smells ok.

You have to do a sniff test. There's no mistaking gone off chicken- the stench would put you on the floor. Does it look a bit green?

I just go by if it looks ok and smells ok...

Uh-ohhh, conflicting answers lol! Think I'm gonna have to do the sniff test and go from there. I haven't looked at them properly yet but they looked normal without an up close inspection/sniffspection.
Thank you! 💖
