I was thinking of rice pudding? Anyone got a good (easy) recipe? Or any other ideas?

You can freeze milk you know.

sunnywong · 16/02/2007 13:41

bathe in it

JillyBeansNW · 16/02/2007 13:42

If it was in plastic I think I would. It is milkman delivered and so is in glass bottles. Might just end up buying freezer bags.

Bread and butter pudding.
Cheese sauce (Cauliflower cheese?)

paulmorelsmum · 16/02/2007 13:42

You could make ricotta or paneer cheese by boiling it up with lemon juice or vinegar (= a fun activity to do with kids).

charliecat · 16/02/2007 13:44

instant whip

Oooh good idea charliecat - you could whip up a mega batch of Angel Delight

JillyBeansNW · 16/02/2007 13:48

I like angel delight

No-one else in the house does.

Jamie Oliver says 2 litres of full cream milk (not sure if it will work if it's semi or skimmed?), boil, remove from heat and add a wine glass full of wine vinegar. After 5 mins or so it will start to curdle and you strain it through muslin and squeeze the liquid out.

JillyBeansNW · 16/02/2007 13:49

Rice pudding is easy peasy. 21/2 ounces of puding rice, 1 ounce of sugar and a pint of milk. Grease a dish and put the ingredients in and cook for 2 hours at 150 degrees centigrade.

charliecat · 16/02/2007 13:50

I love butterscotch...mmmmmmmm

JillyBeansNW · 17/02/2007 13:40

Rice pudding was marvelous. Might try bread and butter pudding next..
