Under 30mins family meals that can be reheated?

I wonder if anyone can help. I'm tired of cooking so many meals and I want to feed me/DH and the kids the same meals on a few nights a week even though we all eat at different time.

I am looking for a couple of meals, like a quick bolognese, that I can cook within 30mins to feed the kids and then is easy to reheat with some extra pasta for DH (and me if I didn't eat earlier). I am quite happy to cook pasta/rice/pots fresh with a reheated sauce.

Any suggestions grateful received.

P.s. chilli in 30mins seems a lot less successful than bolognese so that didn't work. Fish curry was quick but didn't reheat very well!

You could do fish curry by making the sauce separately and then just cooking the fish in the sauce as you reheat it.

How about buying a slow cooker? Throw everything in in the morning and it'll be done for tea time. Then the chilli will work! Also you can cook chicken and potatos in gravy, pulled pork, pulled chicken x

Hi op. Theres a batch cooking thread in the active section. Think its sponsored by kenwood. Would that give you some ideas?

Okay - confession! I don't understand how to use a slow cooker. I borrowed one from my mother-in-law a couple of years ago and everything I tried came out really runny and generally brown and meaty tasting no matter what flavours I put in it. Also I looked for recipes online and there are literally millions. How on earth can you tell the good ones from dodgy ones?

I've got a pressure cooker though! But I don't really understand that either....
